Well, some times, you might not understand that from where your Disk space is getting full, isn’t it? Actually, in my case also, the same thing has happened, and hence, I want to share it with our readers also. Actually, my Macs Downloads folder measuring in at a whooping 26.18 GB and begging for deletion. Well, that has happened in my case since I have somehow neglected to delete the contents periodically of ~/Downloads and it grew to include over 7,000 files and consume 10% of my overall disk space.

Reclaim disk space empty downloads

Well, the main drawback us that the majority of that space was taken up by music files, including songs that have already been added to iTunes. Or, in other words, I needlessly had two copies of tons of music.

Hence, the main moral of this story is that just don’t forget to check on your ~/Downloads folder from time to time, it grows a lot more than you would expect, and hence if you want a super fast way to do is that hit “Command+Spacebar” to enter Spotlight, type “Downloads” and then hit “Command+i” to bring up the Get Info window.
