As reported earlier, Apple is tracking the location data secretly through your iPhones, iPads or iPod touches. But, after that analysis by the security researchers, some Cydia tweaks have been revealed for preventing the iPhone location data tracking, such as, Untrackerd, Location Blocker and Auto Location etc. but, now, according to a new report by The Wall Street Journal, Apple’s iPhone still continues to collect and store users’ location even when location services are being disabled.

The Wall Street Journal believes that the data is collected using data from cell towers and WiFi hotspots as the iPhone communicates with them, which is within Apple’s rights — but the revelation is still likely to result in a new round of chatter.

Also, according to some additional reports, government bodies in several countries, including South Korea, France and Germany are investigating Apple’s location-tracking practices, and they will likely make formal inquiries once they have enough information to do so.
