Google Brings “Instant Previews” Feature to the iPhone

January 31, 2011 by · Leave a Comment

As reported earlier, Google has started rolling out new feature to the iPhone, called, Instant Previews, through which you can preview a website on your iPhone or iPod touch before it’s loaded when using their search site. Well, if you have “Instant Previews” turned on, you could simply hover your mouse over a link and a screenshot of the desired page would appear on the right side. Let’s have more information on this form below.

Google "Instant Previews" Feature for iOS

Well, the “Instant Previews” allows you to tap the accompanying magnifying glass for a pop-up preview of the website. Also, this feature saves time, since you can get a quick glance at the site without actually having to load up the page. But, the best part about Google’s implementation in iOS Safari is that you can flick through the previews of particular search query, just like you flick through the native Safari tabs function of iOS.

Now, you can get the same experience on your iOS device using mobile Safari. Though Google hasn’t declared this feature officially, but it appears that this feature is currently in its testing phase. Well, have you received this “Instant Previews” feature on your iOS device? Just don’t forget to share your views and comments on this with us. As usual, stay tuned with us for more recent updates.
