March 28, 2011 by · Leave a Comment

Well, if you are not living under the rock, then, you must have been aware of the fact that Apple has released the new Mac OS X 10.6.7 update. Also, you might know that Mac OS X will support for SSD’s, but what can you do right now, if you are on Mac OS X 10.6? Well, if you have discovered yourself brave enough, then you can use this unsupported hack that enables TRIM for most SSD devices under Mac OS X 10.6.7.

Download Trim Enabler for enabling TRIM SSD in Mac OS X 10.6.7 Lion

Well, this app is known as TRIM Enabler and it works by loading a kernel extension from MacBook Pro 2011 models (with TRIM support) into your Mac OS X kernel, which forces TRIM to be enabled. All you need to do is that click on “Patch” to enable TRIM, but the current version doesn’t support one-click disabling, hence, if something goes wrong, you’ll need to boot into Safe Mode to disable the extension manually.

CAUTION : Well, this is completely an unsupported software. We are not responsible for any damage or loss of data that may result from activating this feature. But, according to my advice, always have a backup of your data, and proceed with caution and at your own risk.

Well, you can download this TRIM SSD software from the download link given below. Also, after getting this software, just don’t forget to share your views and opinions on this with us.

Download TRIM Enabler software from here.
