NOTE : This step by step guidelines will work only if you have SHSH blobs saved for the respective firmware you are downgrading to.

NOTE : You can get all the necessary download links at the end of the artiocle.

Step – 1 : First, download the required old ipsw firmware files.

Step – 2 : Now, put your iOS device into DFU Mode by following the instructions below;

  • First, connect your iOS device to your computer.
  • Now, turn it off.
  • After that, start iTunes.
  • Then, hold both “Power” and “Home” buttons together for 10 seconds or so.
  • After that, release “Power” button, but keep holding the “Home” button until your computer recognizes a new USB device.
  • Then, finally, iTunes will recognize your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch.

NOTE : At this time, the screen of your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch should be blank (black in color), if not, then, you are most likely in Recovery Mode, not in DFU Mode.

Step – 3 : After that, trick iTunes into thinking that it’s watching Apple servers, but actually in real, we are going to change the address to Saurik’s server. In order to do this;

  • First navigate to C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\ and then, locate the “hosts” file.

Step – 4 : Now, start iTunes and click on your iOS device icon from the iTunes sidebar. Then, press and hold left “alt” (option) button on Mac, or left “Shift” button if you are on Windows on the keyboard and then, click on “restore” (Not “Update” or “Check for Update”) button in the iTunes and then release this button.
